First 2019 post

NYU woman with VR goggles

2019 greetings to you from the interactive team at NYU. Today is the start of the first full week since the holiday break, so the team and I will be working to review our priorities for January, and the months beyond. Since our last update(s), things have continued forward on our AR & VR projects. In both areas, we’ve put together a workable DIY solution for motion-captured facial animation, which really improves the sense of immersion in those apps. Also this week I’ll begin v.2 redesigns for our Experience Builder utility, which is the set of templates we created to enable NYU faculty to author nonlinear, interactive experiences for use in AR, VR and other software-simulations. Below is a brief video of our first successful face-capture test.
